Bell Gardens : Motel Developer Gets Lease
The Bell Gardens City Council has approved a 99-year lease agreement with a Riverside developer who proposes to build a 120-room Quality Inn motel across Eastern Avenue from the Bicycle Club casino.
Since April the city has been negotiating with Riverside developer Mary C. Wang, who also proposes to build a restaurant on the 2.46-acre site. The project is expected to generate about $123,000 in yearly tax revenue for the city, according to a developer’s report.
