Afghanistan Holocaust

Share

I profusely thank your newspaper for publishing the article by Nikki Finke (“Under Fire: An Afghan Odyssey,” Oct. 30). For too long the holocaust created by Russia in Afghanistan has been ignored by much of the world.

After the Holocaust of World War II, we vowed that it would never happen again. But it has, in Cambodia and now in Afghanistan

My heart and sympathies go out to the families, relatives and friends of James Lindelof and Lee Shapiro. They were two brave and idealistic men. I hope they did not die in vain.

Thank you again for bringing to the forefront the plight of the people of Afghanistan who are fighting for their freedom against insurmountable odds.
