Moody’s Investors Service downgraded Transamerica Financial Corp.’s debt, citing its acquisition of Borg-Warner Acceptance Corp. But Moody’s confirmed the long-term debt rating of its parent, San Francisco-based Transamerica Corp. Moody’s also said that it is continuing to review Borg-Warner for a possible upgrading and expressed confidence in Transamerica’s ability to “enhance overall performance measurements over time.”
