In the depth of the despair of the Rams’ losing season, there is one big winner: John Shaw, the scrappy player contract negotiator who is still undefeated, untied and unscored upon.

His record includes big wins over such heavy hitters as Eric Dickerson, LeRoy Irvin, Henry Ellard and many others, some of whom are still licking their wounds and others who have gone on to pastures more tranquil than Anaheim.

Well done, John Shaw. Georgia must be proud of you--and richer for the experience. For now, anyway.
