Honda’s income rose 26.6% to $152 million...

Honda’s income rose 26.6% to $152 million (22.3 billion yen) in the three-month period ending Sept. 30. Sales were up 2% to $5.133 billion (754.4 billion yen). The Tokyo-based company noted that auto sales were up 4.2% and sales of parts and other revenues increased 14%. Motorcycle revenue fell 15.6%, and power products revenue was down 20.3%. The company cited corporate streamlining and an increase in sales of higher-price luxury cars for the improved results.
