Local News in Brief : Chamber Manager Ousted
Wesley Bush, general manager for the past 19 years of the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce, has retired at the request of the association’s leaders. Bush, 65, said this week that the chamber’s executive committee did not tell him why they wanted him out.
Chamber President Floyd Carr was out of town Thursday and could not be reached for comment. William Bue, a retired aerospace worker, has been appointed interim manager until a permanent replacement is selected.
Since Bush became the chamber’s manager, membership in the organization has grown from about 300 businesses to 550. The chamber’s annual budget is $175,000.
