Robert H. Smith has been elected vice chairman of Maxwell Communication Corp., headquartered in Greenwich, Conn. Smith previously was executive vice president-finance and administration. He also serves as a member on the board of directors of Maxwell and Donohue Inc. Maxwell Communication Corp. is the North American subsidiary of Maxwell Communications Corp. PLC, one of the world’s largest communication firms.
