If a federal judge’s ruling holds up, “Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion,” the glamorous actress’ $160-an-ounce perfume, may not be sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman-Marcus, I. Magnin, Henri Bendel and others “of comparable quality.” U.S. District Judge Robert W. Sweet of Manhattan issued an injunction at the request of Annick Goutal Inc., a French company that also markets a perfume called Passion. The judge left it to the opposing sides to “agree upon the stores” covered by the limited injunction. Taylor’s lawyer, Berj A. Terzian, said he had not seen Sweet’s opinion and “I’m not going to comment without seeing it.”
