A man indicted last month in connection with 12 bank robberies in San Diego County, who is suspected of committing up to seven more while being hunted by the FBI, was arrested Sunday, authorities said.

Lawrence Edward Ream, 27, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Sunday at a motel in the 4600 block of De Soto St. in San Diego, according to FBI spokesman Jim Bolenbach.

Ream is in custody at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center and is expected to appear before the U.S. magistrate in San Diego today, authorities said.
