Wavetek Corp. reported an 18% increase in its fourth-quarter net income and a 25% increase in sales for the three-month period ended Oct. 3. The manufacturer of electronic testing and measuring instruments also reported increases in its full-year profit and sales.

For the quarter, Wavetek reported a profit of $1.3 million on sales of $23.9 million, up from a profit of $1.1 million on $19.2 million in sales for the same quarter last year. For the year, Wavetek’s profit was $3.9 million on sales of $82.5 million, up from net income of $3.1 million and sales of $73.8 million during the previous year.
