George Von Arx has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer for Kilsby-Roberts, a Brea-based tubing and specialty bar distributor. Von Arx joined Kilsby-Roberts in 1974 and had been vice president, operations, before his promotion. In addition, William J. Shaw was promoted to vice president, purchasing, for the company. He had been manager of purchasing since 1981, and will continue to be in charge of all corporate purchasing, transportation and technical services.
