OAKLAND — Clipper forward Reggie Williams, who sat out the team’s last two games with the flu, will be available for duty in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors at the Oakland Coliseum Arena.
Williams has lost his spot in the starting lineup to rookie Joe Wolf, who has averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4 assists since replacing him.
Center Benoit Benjamin, who has sore knees, and guard Larry Drew, who has a sore back, didn’t practice Monday but are expected to play tonight.
The Clippers beat the Warriors, 97-94, Nov. 13 at the Sports Arena, as Clipper guard Mike Woodson scored 33 points and Williams added 20.
Golden State, which has lost seven straight, has been hit hard by injuries this season. Center Joe Barry Carroll, who has missed four straight games with an injured right foot, and guard Eric (Sleepy) Floyd, who injured his back in Saturday’s loss to the New York Knicks, will probably play tonight. Forward Larry Smith was put on the injured list Friday with a strained right thigh.
