Mother Sentenced in Case of Gun-Toting 6-Year-Old

A woman whose 6-year-old son mistook a loaded pistol for a toy and took it to school pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The mother, Thomasina McPherson, was sentenced Monday to 30 days’ work in a community program.
