Fluor Daniel International, a unit of Fluor Corp., has been awarded a $5.9 million contract by Sunkyong Fibres Ltd. of Seoul to provide basic engineering and procurement assistance for a planned petrochemical complex in South Korea. Basic engineering work is under way in Fluor Daniel’s Houston offices, with project completion scheduled for early 1989. When completed, the complex will produce raw materials used in the manufacture of polyester fiber and magnetic tape. Fluor Daniel is an engineering, construction and technical-services unit of Fluor, an Irvine-based international engineering and construction company with investments in natural resources.
