Duarte : Program Aims to Keep Jobs
The Redevelopment Agency has contracted with the county Economic Development Corp. to help businesses receive low-cost financing if they create or keep permanent jobs in the community.
City officials say that as many as 10 businesses in Duarte may qualify under a variety of programs to get financing for new equipment, property acquisition or working capital. They can obtain free assessments by the Economic Development Corp. to determine whether they qualify. The city will pay $5,000 for the assessments.
