Chiat/Day has won a $15-million chunk of the Sunbeam Appliance Co.’s advertising business. Early next year, the Los Angeles-based advertising firm will begin creating ads for an unconventional countertop oven that Sunbeam executives refuse to describe but which the company insists will be unlike any other now on the market. The rest of Chicago-based Sunbeam’s advertising is now handled by Burton-Campbell/EPB of Atlanta.
