Assessing the Presidential Candidates

It puzzled me why the great governor of New York (Cuomo), who seems to be a popular choice for the office is not inclined to enter the race. On sober reflection, I don’t blame him.
Look what he will inherit. The greatest budget deficit in history. One twice as large as the one when the Great Communicator Reagan came into office. A huge and continuous trade deficit. These problems will have to be solved by increases in taxes and decreases in defense spending. Both are unpopular choices for which the incoming President will be blamed. So why should he come into a sick bed unless the nation realizes the problem and wants him by draft to come in?
