Storm Kills 86, Wrecks 15,000 Vietnam Homes

A two-day storm carrying heavy rain caused floods that killed 86 people, destroyed 15,000 homes and heavily damaged crops and roads in two central Vietnam provinces last month, the official Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

The agency, monitored in Bangkok, said the Nov. 18-19 storm drenched Nghia Binh and Phu Khanh provinces and destroyed 503 schoolrooms and 45,000 acres of rice.
