An Asian woman linked to the disappearance last month of a South Korean airliner with 115 aboard ended her silence and told Korean investigators in Bahrain that she is from China but of North Korean descent, South Korean newspapers reported. The government of Bahrain is expected to return the woman, who has still not been positively identified, to Seoul, South Korea, today. The body of her male accomplice, who died after biting into a poison capsule, is also expected to be handed over to South Korean officials. The newspapers, citing officials in Bahrain, said that traces of explosives were found in the man’s money belt, while the woman’s underwear contained pockets in which bomb parts could have been concealed.
