Squatters End Protest
MEXICO CITY — Members of a Mexico City squatters organization who spent 36 hours camped on the grounds of the Japanese Embassy abandoned their protest and left Tuesday night, police said Wednesday. The group was protesting the eviction of some of its members from federally owned land and was seeking the release of a jailed leader.
