A 60-year-old man is free to live in the retirement community condominium he recently purchased, but his 45-year-old wife is too young, a judge said Thursday.

“He can sell it, he can live there by himself or he can rent it for three years and then move in when she’s 48,” Middlesex County Superior Judge John Bachman said. “But the zoning ordinance says this type of community is limited to an age of 48 and above.”
