Repealing the 22nd Amendment
I heartily agree with your editorial.
It is suggested that the most important reason for repeal is that the present limit tends to take political power from the President in an increasing amount as the end of the term approaches. This weakening power, or “lame duck” status, is determined to the proper functioning of the presidential office. Without the two-term limitation, the possibility of a third term always exists and the President’s power can more likely be retained.
