A jury in Washington deliberated the perjury case against former presidential aide Michael K. Deaver for a second day before being dismissed for the night by U.S. District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson. Jurors were instructed to resume deliberations this morning. Deaver is charged with five counts of lying to a congressional subcommittee and a federal grand jury about his post-government lobbying activities.
