Gary Hart’s Back in the ’88 Presidential Race

Share

Gary Hart has entered the race again preaching his “new ideas” campaigns. Regardless of what happened (or didn’t happen) with Donna Rice, everyone definitely has to question Hart’s display of judgment (or lack thereof) considering his prominence in the public eye. Subsequently, he withdraws from the race because of the pressure on him and his personal life. By re-entering now in December, I see a character of uncertainty and inconsistency. If Hart was President, would he withdraw or retreat under all the pressures of the job? Would he exercise consistency or confusion? Would he apply the necessary judgment as leader of our country? I think we should look at Hart’s character, remember the old adage “actions speak louder than words” and answer the questions I have posed. Hart should throw “new ideas” out the window and start over with “new actions.”
