Officials Want Satellite Court for Carson Residents
Officials are trying to get a satellite court facility for Carson so residents will not have to go to the Compton Municipal Court for traffic citations, municipal code violations, small claims and civil matters.
Community Safety Director Joe Medina said he and Councilwoman Vera Robles DeWitt would meet with Compton Municipal Court Administrator Tim R. Aguilar on Monday to discuss the project’s feasibility.
Aguilar has said he is not opposed to the idea, provided that Carson officials can come up with a one-story facility with ample parking in a location that is readily accessible.
Details and estimates of the cost have not been worked out.
