Local News in Brief : Israel Unrest Protest
About 75 members of Palestinian support groups shouting “Long live the PLO!” demonstrated Monday outside the Israeli Consulate on Wilshire Boulevard to protest what they called Israeli oppression of Arabs in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
There were no incidents, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Len Hundshamer. Ten police officers monitored the protest.
