Oil industry sources say a federal grand jury in Oklahoma City has subpoenaed the records of a dozen major oil purchasers operating in Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. The records will be used to assist U.S. Justice Department antitrust lawyers who are investigating alleged price-fixing among refiners and crude oil purchasers in the three states. The Justice Department did not identify targets of the probe, but executives of several companies confirmed that they had received subpoenas. The firms included Koch Oil Co., Wichita, Kan.; Clear Creek Inc., McPherson, Kan.; Inland Crude Purchasing of Wichita, and Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Okla.
