Redding Leads USIU Past Delaware State, 88-74

Charles Redding scored 22 points and had 9 rebounds Tuesday night as United States International University snapped a four-game losing streak in an 88-74 nonconference college basketball victory over Delaware State in Golden Hall.

USIU (3-7) led, 40-37, at halftime but Redding led a 30-15 run during the first 12 minutes of the second half to put USIU ahead, 70-52.

Russ Heicke added 16 points for the Gulls and Rade Milutinovic had 15.

Delaware State (1-6) was led by Tom Davis, who had 22 points.

USIU will next meet Manhattan College, Thursday at 1 p.m. in Golden Hall.
