John S. Scott, chairman of Procter & Gamble’s Richardson-Vicks subsidiary and a member of the Procter & Gamble board will retire Thursday. With Scott’s retirement, the number of Procter & Gamble directors will be reduced to 16 from 17 effective Friday.
