Dow Fades With the Old Year

The stock market posted some spotty losses today, closing out 1987 on a cautious note in the face of renewed weakness in the dollar.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed down 11.27 at 1,938.83.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 170.14 million shares compared with 149.28 million shares Wednesday.
