Rescue teams searched for a commercial plane with 17 people aboard that has been missing in Kalimantan's jungle since Wednesday, an official said Saturday.

"Our rescue teams were still unable to trace the plane or . . . its passengers," an official of the national Search and Rescue said, adding that bad weather has been hampering the search.

The Twin Otter propeller-driven plane of Indonesia's Merpati Airlines with 14 Indonesian passengers and three crew members was reported missing on its regular flight from Samarinda to Berau in east Kalimantan province, 785 miles northeast of Jakarta.
