Lewis Leads Pepperdine Past Marshall

Sophomore forward Tom Lewis scored a career-high 35 points Monday night to pace Pepperdine to a 99-90 nonconference victory over Marshall in Malibu.

Lewis made 12 of 17 field-goal attempts and nine of 11 free throws. He made 2 of 4 three-point attempts.

Center Levi Middlebrooks had 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward Dexter Howard added 14 points for Pepperdine (7-5).

Skip Henderson led Marshall (8-3) with 27 points and five assists. Tom Curry had 21 points and 13 rebounds for Marshall.
