King World Productions said it had completed the purchase of a total of 3.48 million shares of its common stock at $28 per share from five members of the King family, a company officer and a former company executive, pursuant to agreements reached last June. The company, which distributes the three highest-rated series in non-network programming, “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” said that after the purchase, King family members still own nearly 10 million of King World’s 25 million shares.
