The West German NDR television system announced Wednesday it had unearthed previously unshown films documenting the infancy of the Nazi Party in the early 1920s. NDR television reporter Jochen von Lang, who found the films in Washington, Moscow and in East Germany, said the material showed that people from all walks of life were attracted by the Nazi ideology as early as 1920. "These films were not made by professional Nazi film makers but by private people who attended Nazi mass rallies long before Hitler came to power," he said.
