Dean of Agriculture Attacked in Beirut

BEIRUT —
Unidentified assailants attacked the dean of agriculture at Muslim West Beirut’s Lebanese University on Thursday, stabbing him repeatedly near his home, police said.
Officers said three men armed with firearms and knives stabbed Muin Hamza, 40, as he got into his car. They then raced away in another car. Hamza was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said they could not immediately uncover any motive.
