King World Productions’ income jumped 107% to $22.7 million for its first quarter over the year-ago period. Revenue rose 20% to $97.4 million. The New York-based company attributed its growth primarily to the performance of its three core programs--”Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy!” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” King World is a major distributor of first-run syndicated programming for television.
