John Cade; Political Strategist in Louisiana

John Cade, 59, the behind-the-scenes political strategist who masterminded the campaign of Louisiana’s first Republican governor since Reconstruction. Cade also managed Ronald Reagan’s Louisiana campaigns in 1976 and 1980. “He’s the unsung hero of the Louisiana Republican Party,” said former GOP Gov. Dave Treen, elected in 1979. “I would never have achieved political success without John Cade.” Cade also managed Treen’s four winning congressional campaigns beginning in 1972.
