South’s 1st Lottery Starts

MIAMI —
Florida launched the South’s first lottery early today in a frenzy of betting that could produce the sale of more than 1 million tickets on the first day. Lottery Secretary Rebecca Paul has predicted that all 250 million tickets printed for the state’s first instant-winner game will be sold in 12 weeks.
