NBC officials confirmed Wednesday that “Today” show host Bryant Gumbel has been selected to anchor “90 Minutes,” the network’s answer to CBS’s “60 Minutes.” The combination sports, entertainment and news magazine will air in pilot form on April 10 at 6:30 p.m. A network spokeswoman said she did not know who the program’s other principals will be or who will produce it, but USA Today reports that David Letterman and sports personalities Bob Costas and Gayle Gardner might collaborate on the project.
