CAMPAIGN ’88 : Hart Gets Iowa Office

Supporters of Gary Hart said Wednesday they will open an Iowa headquarters for the candidate in Des Moines. Richard Robinson, on leave from his consulting job with state Assemblyman John Vasconcellos (D-Santa Clara) and in Iowa to campaign for Hart, said: “We’ve got a place we’re moving into tonight, and we’ll open tomorrow.”

He said the office will be run by volunteers. How well does he think Hart will do in Iowa? “Well we don’t have any organization. We don’t have any people. We don’t have any time. So we don’t expect to do that well.”
