S. African Siamese Twin Dies

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa —
Eight-week-old Nosipho Qakamba died in a Durban hospital today, a week after being separated from her Siamese twin sister in an 11-hour operation, hospital officials said.
A doctor said the baby girl suffered heart failure and and could not be revived. And in Bloemfontein, doctors said 6-week-old Mothoana Hlalele died Wednesday, almost a month after she was separated from her Siamese sibling in a similar operation Dec. 16.
