A radical Shia Muslim leader was quoted as saying that kidnaped Church of England envoy Terry Waite is alive and well but will not be freed as long as President Reagan is in office. London’s Sunday Express quoted Sheik Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, spiritual leader of Hezbollah (Party of God), as saying that Lebanon’s radical groups hope to humiliate Reagan by holding Waite, who was seized in Lebanon a year ago while trying to negotiate the release of other Western captives.
