Robert H. Helmick, president of the U.S. Olympic Committee, said it is premature to consider moving the 1991 Pan American Games from Cuba if that country goes through with its announced intention not to attend the 1988 Olympic Games at Seoul, South Korea.

Additionally, the USOC, meeting in Atlanta, set the dates for the next three U.S. Olympic Festivals at sites previously approved, including July 12-21, 1991, in Los Angeles. Those dates are subject to the final status of the world track championships that year.
