A Caesars Palace blackjack dealer filed a lawsuit for $208 million against the Internal Revenue Service, charging that seizure of toke boxes at the resort is unconstitutional. The suit alleges violation of the fourth, fifth, sixth and 14th amendments to the Constitution. The suit was written by dealer Larry Hartman and lists 207 Caesars Palace dealers as co-plaintiffs. Each asks for $1 million in damages, plus a court order ending the seizures. Agents began seizing the toke boxes at Caesars earlier this month to collect a reported $500,000 in back taxes owed by 17 dealers. A hearing on the seizures is scheduled Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.
