$5.5-Million Lotto Ticket Sold in Downey

The winning Lotto ticket, worth $5.5 million, was purchased at Price’s Liquor in Downey. The six winning numbers were chosen by the quick pick computer.

There were two tickets purchased with five correct numbers plus the bonus number, each worth $746,770. The first was purchased at Amatel Liquor in Downey. The second was purchased at a 7-11 store on Valley Road in West Covina. This ticket was purchased one-tenth of a second before the deadline by the quick pick computer.

There were 146 people who picked five of the six numbers, winning $5,270 each, while 8,827 people picked four of the six numbers and won $79 each. The 186,200 people who picked three correct numbers won $5 apiece.

The total Lotto sales Saturday amounted to $13.99 million, according to lottery spokesman John Schade.
