Local News in Brief : 8 Vie for Miss Lomita Title

Eight South Bay women will be competing in the Miss Lomita Scholarship Pageant at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Campus Theatre of El Camino College.

The winner of the annual event, sponsored by the women’s division of the Lomita Chamber of Commerce, will compete in the Miss California pageant in San Diego in June. Miss California will compete in the Miss America pageant at Atlantic City in September.

The eight contestants are Wendy Berry, 21, Kristine Clemens, 17, Pamela Jacobs, 21, Eva Marie Leach, 22, Connie Leamon, 17, Elisa Misenas, 19, Marina Olivas, 18, and Marlise Ricardos, 26.
