Teen Prostitution

I read Beverly Beyette’s article “Staying Alive” (Jan. 15) with particular interest. I was impressed with how little has changed in over two decades. I am a survivor of the living nightmare teen-age existence of coffee shops, the streets and Hollywood nights. No one knows now about the shame, the fear and, most of all, the hopelessness I suffered years ago in what seems like another lifetime today. This is not something one discusses with civilized beings, who upon hearing it, would be appalled.

Thanks for the article. Let’s hope somehow, someone will save the children. They’re waiting for saviors. I know.
