President Reagan on Saturday asked Americans to pray for 3 1/2-year-old Tabatha Foster, the recipient of a rare five-organ transplant.

During his weekly radio address, Reagan said: “It will take time and money, as much as $1 million, to return Tabatha to full health. Her parents have exhausted their medical insurance, so a Tabatha Foster fund has been set up in Pittsburgh to help them. I know you join me in praying that Tabatha will someday be able to lead a normal life.”

The Madisonville, Ky., girl is reported improving at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pa., after getting a new liver, pancreas, small intestine and parts of a stomach and colon in a Nov. 1 operation.
