Cook Jailed for Extortion From Hong Kong Singer
HONG KONG —
A Cantonese cook was jailed for 18 months on Monday after trying to blackmail Alan Tam, one of Hong Kong’s leading pop singers, court officials said.
Lam Fong Hung, 45, admitted he wrote an extortion letter to Tam demanding $150,000 and threatened to sabotage his concerts if he did not pay.
