West American Rubber Co., an Orange-based manufacturer of rubber goods, made four recent executive appointments. Charles J. Vaughn, a 14-year employee of the company, was promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing from senior vice president. G.P. Mendez, who had been vice president of manufacturing, was named senior vice president of operations. He has been with West American 16 years. Clyde A. LeBarron, former assistant to the president, was appointed administrative vice president. He is a 15-year employee of the company. Kenneth J. Hemstreet, who has been with West American nine years, was promoted to vice president of engineering from director of engineering.
